Summary
This hybrid role will fill the responsibilities of a General Manager and Senior Project Manager. 25% of the work week will include the overall operational, organizational, and technical leadership of the company. 75% of the work week will be include the quoting, layout and design of new conveying systems for bulk material handling projects.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Execute and Lead operational and engineering strategies that drive company growth and profitability.
• Champion the company’s mission, vision, and values both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with ownership to define long-term strategic goals.
Organizational Management
• Lead a strong team across engineering, operations, sales, and support functions.
• Use performance metrics and accountability systems aligned with business goals to keep the company on track.
• Must have a basic understating of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reports.
Mechanical Engineering & Technical Oversight
• Ensure the highest standards of design, innovation, and execution in all engineering projects.
• Develop design concept and final drawings with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for bulk materials handling solutions to meet a specific client’s needs.
• Travel to client’s job sites to gather required information for quoting and managing all aspects of the project installation and commissioning equipment.
• Assist with product development initiatives, continuously improving our technology and systems.
• Maintain a strong connection between engineering and manufacturing to optimize project delivery.
Operations Excellence
• Optimize internal processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Continue to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Talent & Culture
• Foster a values-based, inclusive, and high-performance company culture.
• Identify, recruit, and develop top talent at all levels.

Project Management
• Provide oversight and management for all custom engineered projects from conception to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet client expectations.
• Proactively manage risk, scope changes, and resource allocation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering preferred); MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering services, or custom equipment sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully leading operational and engineering teams in a growth environment.
• Expertise in designing, manufacturing, and delivering conveyor systems for bulk materials.
Preferred Requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience with industrial conveying, material handling systems, or related industries.
• Background in developing and executing operational excellence frameworks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data-driven management.

Salary Range: 90k to 140k
