Summary
The Controller will own all aspects of financial operations, from bookkeeping and compliance to forecasting and strategic analysis, ensuring we have real-time insight into cash flow, profitability, and growth opportunities. This position requires the flexibility to wear multiple hats as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close processes.
Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate working capital to support business operations and growth initiatives.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for leadership review.
Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models, including regular variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements while maintaining effective internal controls.
Partner with the general manager and leadership team to provide financial insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Identify and implement process improvements, including optimization of accounting systems and reporting tools.
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to support accurate filings and audit readiness.
Monitor financial performance and KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
Oversee other aspects of the business to include but not limited to: HR, IT, and project review.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance role.
Demonstrated success in a small or mid-sized business environment, comfortable managing both detailed accounting tasks and high-level financial strategy.
Proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Foundation Accounting Software) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.

Salary Range: $50k to $75k
